HeiAGE Symposium

This symposium marks the concluding event of the HeiAge project “Assistive  Systems and Digital Technologies for Improving Mobility in Old Age,” supported by the Carl Zeiss Foundation. The event serves not only as a platform to present and discuss the project’s findings but also as an opportunity for  multidisciplinary exchange on the latest advancements and future directions in  assistive technologies aimed at enhancing mobility for older adults.

The program includes oral sessions to present key results from the HeiAge  project, as well as presentations from invited research groups. Additionally,  there will be a poster session featuring contributions from external invited  researchers. The symposium will conclude with a panel discussion addressing  challenges, collaboration opportunities, and future outlooks in the field.

Invited Groups Oral Session

This session provides the opportunity for invited groups to present their main research lines in assistive technology for older adults, and related areas. Each presenter will be given 20 minutes, including questions. The presenters will be contacted a week before the event with further instructions.

Poster and Poster Teaser Sessions

There is a poster session for the presentation of invited researchers. The poster should be printed in A0 size (portrait) or similar. There is no recommended style or template for the poster. Preceding the poster session, there is a teaser session, in which poster presenters will have the opportunity to introduce their posters in one-minute, one-slide oral presentations. Poster presenters should send us the slide in PowerPoint (format 16:9) attached to an e-mail to Marko Ackermann or Thomas Gerhardy until October 10th. Note that the slide should not be the poster itself.
